  Ster-O-Tap has also been widely accredited throughout Europe.  For example, VITO (the Flemish State Research Institute and the environmental reference laboratory) confirms that “the shower filter effectively stops Legionella pneumophila bacteria in the incoming water”.  VITO go on to state that “even with a very high Legionella concentration in the incoming water flow, the concentration (of bacteria) in the outlet was below detection”.

• High flow rate at low pressure requirements.
• Unparalleled removal of micro-organisms like E. coli, Cryptosporidium, Giardia and Legionella through micro-filtration.
• Ultra filtration removes viruses and meets the criteria of the USEPA guideline for a microbiological purifier.
• Good resistance against chlorine.
• Membranes resist temperatures 1 –120°C and can be heat sterilised.
• Can be applied in wide pH range: 3 - 11.
